Video Games Buyer's Guide

Rule number 1 -You get what you pay for.

There are 1000's of second hand video games on the market, most of these games are over 15 years old and have been used commercially for most of their lives.
Buying an old wooden video game cabinet can be a risky business when you consider that all the electrical components are old and most likely have started to corode.

Old monitors will lack both picture sharpness and brightness, and spare parts are hard to come by. Getting an old monitor repaired will cost 100's of dollars both in labour and in parts...if the old parts can still be found.

There are also many machines popping up on ebay that look impressive.

Beware! As there are many cabinets now made in Taiwan and Korea that are basically rip offs of genuine Sega and Namco cabinets. These machines use inferior components and do not have the reliability nor quality you would expect for the money.

When you buy a video game from Arcade Classics, you are buying a fully tested, high quality, name brand machine, backed by a 12 month warranty. We offer 7 day a week phone support to all customers. We only sell top quality equipment as we do not wish to waste our time and yours repairing old machines that should have been thrown in the rubbish years ago.

Compare this when buying a machine out of someones shed, or from an ebay importer with no technical background working on small margins and high turnover.

Backup service is important...dont get burnt!
